Ceos, also known as Zea and Gia, is an island in the Cyclades archipelago, in the Aegean Sea, in Greece. It has rocky land and is full of beaches of various sizes, from the well-known to the most solitary. The first inhabitants of the island were the Carians, who settled there in the Mesolithic, around 7500 ~ 6500 BCE.
With its little chapels lost in the narrow streets and its windmills on the port, the capital, Parikia, is a classical Cycladic village. Located near the port, its main street has many shops and cafés where the local daily life plays out.
Ios is a Greek island in the Cyclades archipelago, in the Aegean Sea. Its geological configuration gives it a wild and unique beauty. The island took its current shape after the crater of the enormous volcano sank. The capital is the town of Thira and its main port is Athinios. Its ground is manly volcanic. It has a crescent form and in the interior part, where the volcano used to be, there is another series of smaller, very beautiful islands. The western part of the island is steep and rocky, with a large cliff down to the sea; while the southern part drifts slowly towards the sea, where the dark sand beaches captivate the travellers’ senses.
